How SaveVideo works (transparency)
Many “free downloader” sites hide how they operate. We prefer a clear model: you submit a public URL, we try to fetch allowed streams, we prepare a temporary file, you download it, and the file disappears.
High-level flow
- You paste a public link into a tool page (YouTube, TikTok, universal, etc.).
- Fetch info asks our server to inspect metadata (title, duration, formats) when the platform allows.
- Download requests a processed file (merged MP4 or extracted MP3).
- You save via a short-lived link on savevideo.tech.
- Cleanup removes temporary files automatically after a short TTL (about 15 minutes).
What we store
- Short-lived media files needed to complete your download
- Operational logs / rate-limit counters (security and fairness)
- No permanent public library of other people’s videos
- No user accounts for core tools

Why downloads fail sometimes
Platforms actively block automated access from cloud servers. Private videos never work. We also enforce per-IP and daily bandwidth caps so a free site can stay online without one user consuming everything. That is intentional product design, not a broken button.
Independence
SaveVideo is not a partner of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, or other platforms. Branding on third-party sites belongs to them. We only provide helper tools and educational guides.
Monetization (when enabled)
Hosting and outbound bandwidth cost real money. We may show ads (for example Google AdSense) to keep tools free. Ads will not be styled as fake download buttons. Cookie details live on the cookie policy.
