Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
SaveVideo operates https://savevideo.tech/, a free browser-based media download helper. Contact: contact@savevideo.tech.
2. Information we process
- Usage & security data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps (rate limits, abuse prevention, reliability).
- URLs you submit — needed to fetch public media metadata and files.
- Temporary files — processed media may sit on our servers briefly (typically under ~15 minutes), then is deleted.
- Cookies / similar tech — basic site function, analytics, and cookies or identifiers used by advertising partners.
We do not require an account for core downloaders. The local video inspector reads the file on your device; it does not send the file, its name or the extracted metadata to our servers. Ordinary page analytics remain separate from that operation.
3. How we use information
- Provide and secure the service
- Enforce fair-use bandwidth and rate limits
- Diagnose errors and improve tools
- Show ads when advertising is enabled
- Respond to messages you send us
4. Advertising (Adsterra)
SaveVideo uses Adsterra advertising, including display banners, native recommendations, a Social Bar, Popunder windows and an explicitly labelled sponsored link. A sponsored window or overlay may appear when you interact with the page. Ads and advertiser destinations are supplied by third parties.
Loading advertising code or opening an ad may send your IP address, browser or device information, referring site and advertising interactions to Adsterra and its partners. They may use cookies, local storage or similar identifiers to deliver, measure and limit ads. Read Adsterra's privacy policy for its data handling details.
Our display placements are labelled Advertisement, and the sponsored link identifies its destination as an advertiser site. The link is separate from media download buttons. Browser settings can block or remove cookies and restrict popups. The cookie notice acknowledges this policy; it does not itself disable advertising scripts.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may use hosting, email, analytics, or advertising providers, or disclose data when required by law.
6. Retention
Download links expire 15 minutes after completion; media cleanup runs approximately once per minute while the service is available. Operational download records include submitted source URLs, titles, timestamps, sizes and processing strategies. Rate-limit counters use IP addresses. These records are stored separately from temporary media and remain until the operator removes them; the service currently has no fixed automatic retention period for operational logs. Contact us about a specific privacy request without sending confidential links.
7. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your region). Do not use it if you are under the applicable age without required consent.
8. International processing
Servers may be outside your country. By using the site you understand information may be processed in other jurisdictions.
9. Your choices
- Browser controls to block cookies
- Browser controls for third-party cookies and popup windows; read the advertising partner's policy in section 4
- Email us with privacy questions
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
